Occupational Therapist

You love to engage a child through play and your relationship with them. You believe parents/caregivers should be actively involved in therapy. You enjoy being a key part of a fun-loving team that also works hard to get the job done. You take pride in helping a small organization to grow as a center of excellence for children and their families.

Play for Real Therapy Services strives to make a difference in lives of families and their children by providing quality occupational and speech therapy. The company has been steadily growing since it was founded in 2013. At our clinic, we use the DIRFloortime model with therapeutic play to help children overcome their challenges, and make therapy a fun and rewarding experience for them. We provide a friendly working environment, with an accent on personal growth and learning, to give the best possible service to our clients.

While pediatric experience would be helpful it is not essential as we are looking for therapists who are the “right fit” for the Play for Real approach, and we are able to offer the opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by experienced therapists.

This position is part-time (with the potential to grow to full-time)

You:

  • Enjoy working as part of a team

  • Love to learn and grow as a therapist

  • Like to share your knowledge and experience with others

  • Believe that every child is an individual and every family is different

  • Are self reflective – both professionally and personally

  • Are fun to be around

  • Are honest, discrete and non-judgmental

  • Are adaptable and willing to do what needs to be done

You have:

  • A Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational institution

  • A current Florida license or are eligible for Florida licensure as an occupational therapist

  • Experience in pediatrics and, if not, a desire to learn

  • Strong documentation skills

  • Computer skills and willingness to learn and use new software as needed.

If this sounds like you we would love to hear from you. Please begin the process by sending:

  • A letter of interest

  • Your resume.
