Come join a dynamic team of Lymphedema therapists in an outpatient setting of a large health system serving Springfield, MO and the Southwest Missouri Region. CoxHealth has a prominent regional lymphedema clinic for treating a variety of patients with chronic edema/lymphedema. CoxHealth is seeking a dedicated individual, and offers a valued opportunity to:
1) Work with a LANA certified lymph therapist with clinical and research expertise, and has taught nationally and internationally. She is also the developer of the lymphedema-specific outcome measure, the Lymphedema Life Impact Scale (LLIS). 2) Work with therapists with over 40 years combined lymphedema experience in assessment, treatment and garment measurement and fitting. 3) Assist with program development for the breast cancer prospective surveillance model and head and neck cancer rehabilitation. 4) Interact with other rehab specialties including orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics, and aquatic therapy. 5) Develop professionally, with eventual role in leadership of the program.
Lymphedema Certification and experience is preferred, but training of the right candidate will be considered.

Job Summary o A Physical Therapist assists patients with returning to a normal pattern of movement and functioning as possible through the use of therapeutic exercise. Patients are referred for medical and educational services as indicated. Responsible to plan and implement prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation services including mobility devices, counseling and orientation that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
o An Occupational Therapist assists patients with minimizing disability and developing skills and attitudes to increase independent functioning. Patients are referred for medical and educational services as indicated for a variety of orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses, with the primary area of focus being orthopedic conditions. An Occupational Therapist is responsible to plan and implement prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation services including counseling and orientation that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Job Requirements o Education Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program OR Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program Preferred: Masters or Doctorate from an accredited program of Physical Therapy OR Masters or Doctorate from an accredited program of Occupational Therapy o Experience No prior experience required o Skills • Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required. • Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision required • Has demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques. o Licensure/Certification/Registration • Required: MO license of Physical Therapy OR MO license of Occupational Therapy AND BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
