Adjunct Assistant Professors Department of Occupational Therapy LIU Brooklyn
LIU Brooklyn seeks qualified adjunct professors to teach occupational therapy courses in the area of pediatrics, mental health, physical disabilities, or foundational studies for the fall 2018 semester.
Principal Responsibilities: Developing and presenting course curriculum in line with the accreditation standards and course objectives as determined by the occupational therapy program. Teaching (both in person and in on-line environments) and advising students, adhering to the university and program academic policies and procedures (class attendance, grading, academic dishonesty, etc.), incorporating latest evidence and research into the classroom/lab instruction and participating in program, school and university activities as appropriate.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a regionally accredited university, recognized by the US Department (USDE). At least three years of clinical experience. Teaching experience or clinical supervision of students is preferred. All candidates must be initially certified as an Occupational Therapist and licensed in New York State.
